ObjectDock Plus Loads Twice When Starting Computer

When I reset or start the computer, ObjectDock loads twice with two icons in the taskbar next to the clock. I have to unload one of them everytime. I have looked into the Startup folder of C:\Documents and Setting\Start Menu\Programs and it is only listed once.

Can anyone advise how I can get it to load only once?

Many thanks

Check both folders...delete the one in C:\Documents and Setting\All Users\. If you still only show one and get two instances; 'Start/ Run/ msconfig/ Sartup' and un-check one of the OD entries. Re-boot and on prompt, check 'Do not show again' and OK.

I have the same problem. I tried using your advive but still no dice. Itried a few combonations and OD will either load twice (creating a third startup item) or will not load at all ( the load at startup becomes unchecked in OD's properties).
Any suggestions?

flixmaker,

Save theme > unload all instances of ObjectDock.exe (use Task Manager if you have to) > clear the cache by deleting the ObjectDock cache folder.

For a mini tutorial on clearing the cache for Stardock programs, you can go here http://corkyo.wincustomize.com/Articles.aspx?SID=5463&AID=82461

Restart ObjectDock (which will load with the default settings) and use the Dock Settings to load your saved theme. Use the "Run ObjectDock at startup" found in Dock Settings if you want program to launch with Windows.

Thanks, but again, no dice. I even restarted without loading my theme and I get two docks.

Do you have a shortcut in either of the Startup folders?

If so, what happens if you move those out temporarily > deselect any option to run at startup in OD settings > repeat unload and clearing cache folder?

Just out of curiosity, you did not by chance install OD+ on top of OD free, did you?

Good to find this thread! I've got the same problem, with two icons, etc. I've been getting popups the last couple of hours, one that's from M'soft: Do You Want to Report this Error?", and the other says OD+ will now close...then up pops a form to email Jeff@stardock support. Jeff must be nuts by now if he's working these! I'll check back in the morning, and reinstall OD+, etc. tomorrow, but it's good to see I'm not the only one with gremlins, and that there's a forum topic on it. Stardock...right on! Thanks for hanging in there, Corky O. Uh, I think I DID install over free...maybe...I'll try all the suggestions and get back...
