Summiting Basic ObjectDock Properties ... ?

Power On / Restart / Volume ...

I am fairly new (three days) at ObjectDock and other WinCustomize type things. I have a few basic questions about implementing certain Short Cuts on my Object Dock:

- How do I place a Power On / Off, Restart, Stand-By, etc on ObjectDock
- and Volume Control
- and Help and Support
- and Search

I really appreciate the help. Also, I have tried placing a Battery SysStats on my ObjectDock, but the shortcut question mark is still behind the icon. How do I fix that.

Thanx:
Chris

free or plus version of Object Dock.

I have free...

battery stats - I assume it's similar to recycle bin - more than on state, will need to assign pic for each state..don't worry about battery, so i'm not sure.

help and support..dock's up, open start, drag help and support to dock, change icon

volume control..lost mine..gotta log off and on to see if it comes back

SysCmd https://www.wincustomize.com/Skins.aspx?LibID=29&view=1&sortby=4&sortdir=DESC&p=1&advanced=0&searchtxt=syscmd
Add it to dock for each that you want, set it on right click menu then set icon.

I use a small program called presstart.exe you can find here Link
Just put it in a folder and create a link to it. It brings up the normal Start Menu without the taskbar. There is also a power off program, but I use a docklet that (I think) installs with plus and brings up the normal dialog box.

Thank you to everyone who helped me out. I was able to get the Start Menu docklets working (Power Off, Restart, Search) from Apprentice Cavan1. Thanks again.

The Volume Control tag that one of the links suggested didn't work for me. Any other ideas?

Also, do you all know how to put in a different, working clock than the default that the free ObjectDock gives you?

No problem Chris.

Hey Lantec, syscmd gives direct shutdown, restart, logoff or shutdown dialog, run plus others. It is a docklet so is in Add on right click on dock menu. If you have not used it, it is a handy docklet.

I've been using the docklet called "Power Off" I'll track Syscmd down and give it a try.

You can change the clock face by downloading different faces from the library. There is also a digital watch docklet. I haven't used it myself but you can get it here Link another here Link This ones neat Link and this Link

Place this text in the "link" line C:\WINDOWS\system32\sndvol32.exe

I was able to get the Digital Clock (the first link you have) to work properly, but the image of question mark that appears as a shortcut is still behind the image of the clock - which is a tad bit annoying. Do you know how to get rid of that?
