Question on WindowsBlinds Performance

I'm new to Stardock and WindowsBlinds and love it.  Hate to ask a newbie question but I thought I read somewhere that if you have the default Windows XP theme/style service running and WindowsBlinds running there will be a performance hit.  Is this true?  If so how do I shut down the Windows XP service so WindowsBlinds is the only on running?

Thanks,

Gerkin

I haven't heard this rumor.  If go to Start->Run and type in services.msc (and press enter) a new window will open.  Scroll down until you find "Themes." Double-click on this.  Change Startup Type to "Disabled" and click "Stop."  This is actually how I have my system set up so I wouldn't know if what you saw posted was true.

I have heard this rumour,

Tested it with and without the service enabled, but did not see a performance improvement with the themes service disabled - so I leave it on.

Note - with the themes service disabled, you will not be able to apply the default "Luna" theme without enabling the themes service again.
