WindowBlinds 5 Freezing System

After exetensive testing on my system, WindowBlinds 5 seems to be the culprit in causing random freezing within applications and at just the desktop. Even running a clean or bare install of windows xp prop exhibits the same behaviour. Here is my system specs:
AMD64 x2 dual core 3800+
Windows XP Pro SP2
ATI x700 PCI Express Video Card
ASUS a8n Nforce4 Chipset

All with latest drivers.

When I uninstall 5 and reinstall 4.6 everything runs perfect. Any sugestions would be great. Thanks.

Is anything happening consistently? For example, are you able to run Windowblinds 5 Beta once windows starts without having problems until loading a program?

What is the version number of the Windowblinds 5 Beta on your system?

Hi!

I'm having the same problem and have a very similar system. I have WindowsBlinds, DesktopX and Icon running. Is there any app I'm missing?

Windows freezes randomly and can't do anything but reboot manually.

Make sure that you have "Run in seperate process" unchecked in folder options-view.

Folder options:

open an explorer window, right click on "My Computer", click on "explore"
click on "Tools", then click on "Folder Options" in the drop down menu
click on the "view" tab
scroll down to the "Launch folder windows in seperate process"
uncheck it if its checked

This might help, but I am not absolutely sure. And remember WB5 is a beta...

Just my whole computer freezes. The apps I would have open would be: Windows Blinds, WindowFX, and DesktopX. I am almost sure it is because of one of them, because the problem had not occurred before. But I could be wrong.

(P.S I have not had any freezings since my post, so it may be working fine now)
