Submiting Icon

Hey, I was trying to submit an icon, just for kicks because I'd never done it before and it won't submit. It keeps giving me 2 red asterisks at the top like there's an error but there is no error and it lsts none, just 2 red asterisks.

Do you have your icons in a zip file with the same name as your preview picture of them?

Most likely. Everything has to have the same name.

still gives the the double asterisk and they are named the same, case and everything. Any other ideas?

Well, if you have the zip file and everything named the same as the actual icon file and it is still not working it might be a bug. Or.. What format is your preview in? Are you putting the preview file in the first slot and the zip file in the second?

The previews and zips don't really need to have the same name, that's not the problem. More than likely it's the non-alpha-numeric characters in your nick. Remove them, and try again.

I just looked at the process for submitting an icon file. Are you submitting misc. icons or some for Icon Packager? If it is for Icon Packager the second file you put in is an .ip file not a zip. My mistake. The preview files can only be in jpg format.

alright, it was nickname, of all things, that did it. Thanks Super Wizop Koasati. Just so you guys know, it was just an icon for a docklet called FreeRAM XP. I hated the included icon because my other ones were round. Maybe this icon sets the reocrd for first submission by a 13-year-old? Sorta doubt it but i can dream, can't i?
