Question Marks??

I am getting question marks on my objectdock that seem to appear and multiply. It started with 1 (which is normal) but now I have 4. When I left-click on them, they glow, but nothing happens. When I right-click on any of them, I get a menu that has "Magnification" "Always on top" etc. How do I get rid of them and why do they keep multiplying? I can see the need for 1 question mark for toolbar preferences, but I don't need 4 of them.

Thanks

Which version of Object Dock are you using?

What type of dock is this? Is it a tabbed or regular dock?

The only "Question mark icons" I see on a fresh installation are those that have no icon associated with it otherwise. Could you provide a screenshot showing as much info as possible?

I am using version 1.20 build 521. I believe it's a regular dock.

Today, when I started my computer, a 4th question mark showed up. When I click on any of them, nothing happens. I can tell you that these question marks are not replacing any of my other icons due to missing icon images.

I have a screenshot, but I cannot figure out how to post it here...help.

The only time I get ? marks is adding a new shortcut (free version ODock)
The right click menu of magnification, on top, etc., is when I right click the bar itself.

Try clearing the cache. Corky O has a tutorial here:
Link if you need it.

OK, I got rid of the question marks (today a 5th one appeared). I just dragged the question mark off the dock and released it on the desktop, then it disappeared. So, now I know how to get rid of them when they show up, but I still don't know why they show up...maybe a flawed release or flawed install?

Should I uninstall and reinstall? If so, how can I back up the dock contents so that I don't have to re-create my dock from scratch?
