recycle bin problem

this wasnt happening until my dock was returned to default by windows

anyways so when i want to delete somethign i either right click delete it, or press delete, or my favorite way is dragging it into the recycle bin (now only on my dock)
but for some reason it adds this invisible unselectable icon on my dock when i drag the file on the recycle bin, and when its there objectdock doesnt show the name of the icons like it usually does at the top

so i have to drag the invisible icon off the dock adn its annoying, ill show screenshots
and i know its not a divider being added cauz i dont see one

before draging/deleting something:

after dragging/deleting something:

as you can see theres no text above the printer thing, until i drag it off also wat does referal mean

As I remember this wai a known limitation with OD. I'm don't recall hearing that it was ever fixed. The bin, with standard docks, would always jump out of the way if you dropped something on it. I've never used it with a tabbed dock so I'm not sure if the limitation exists there or not.

Make sure you are looking in "C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data" for the Stardock folder that will contain the ObjectDock cache folder - and not in the "C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data" folder - which does not include a Stardock folder.

Note - notice the lack of the Local Settings folder in the wrong address.

ObjectDock Plus (or ObjectDock for that matter), writes to cache upon loading, so it should be there.

I have never been able to drag-n-drop a file onto the Recycle Bin to delete in ObjectDock Plus, so it is news to me if it is possible.

That is the cache.

Deleting that ObjectDockPlus folder will force ObjectDock to load with the default theme.

Is it me Bichur or is Corky talking to himself again?

This is becoming a seriously funny series of threads we keep talking to ourselves in, eh?

I seem to be getting pretty good at it though.....I think.

Must be one of those Wizop things.

Wizop prerequisite = must talk to self in the occasional thread.
As long as it's only occasional.

I never had any problems with the trash bin, and I have the free OD.
and I do the same thing you do, drag the file OD bin nothing like you describes happens, altought when I empty it the icon doesn't change it stays as if something still in it. then I have to reset the icon.
