objectdock replacing start menu

hi i realised that most people replace the start menu with objectdock but i have a few questions

can someone post a screenshot of someone who replaced their start menu while browsing the internet because i find it looks funny with it on top of internet explorer and not sure if i have it set right

and how do i put my system tray icons in objectdock, or would i have to add them seperatly or make the start menu go up when i want to close something

There is no such thing as have it set right. What's right is what's right for you. I use the free version, can't help with the extras from plus. I either set it on top with auto hide or if i want it on the bottom, i'll have it hide the taskbar so's to leave room for it and not let the window drop down.

Some times I'll leave it at the bottom behind the taskbar but set the magnification so that it expands high enough when i mouse over the task bar.

Follow the link Link and you'll see that you don't necessarily have to replace your start menu with Object Dock. I don't use the Taskbar, I do have a shortcut to a program called presstart.exe that "pops up" the normal start menu. I use three docks, a tabbed dock for most of my shortcuts and folders and 2 standard docks one for the taskbar (or running tasks) and one for the system tray (systray for short). I highly recommend that you keep the systray on it's own dock. Strange things can happen if you don't. Do not use animations or autohide on the systray dock.
In order to set up either a taskbar dock or a systray dock you need to right click on an empty portion of an open dock (any), choose "Dock Settings" then click on the "Manage My Docks" button and choose " Create new dock" on the Object Dock Properties page you'll need to set a few things;
click on "Dock Contents" then click in the check box next to the one you wish to make. taskbar and systray cannot be on the same dock. For the systray dock then click on "appearance tweaks" and choose "No Effects" and turn off the "Other Tweaks" next go to "Appearance" and turn off magnification. I would choose a small icon size as many systray items use special icons which you will not want to change and only look good small.
To get the presstart.exe file I mentioned go here

Hope this helps.

As far as it not looking all f****d up. Go into dock settings, click on the "positioning" tab. Make sure you checkmark "reserve edge of screen". There is your answer.
