PocketBlinds

PocketBlinds for developpers

Hi,

I'm a developper who has already used the DirectSkin demo library to skin an application on PC. I'm currently working on a PPC version and it would be really great if I could use more or less the same code (I'am working with .NET) to skin it.

So my questions are (please be nice about my french/english ):

- Do you provides librairies for developping skinnable application using PocketBlinds as you do with DirectSkin ?
- If you do, what are the differences between the two libraries ?
- I wasn't able to find a lot of informations about PocketBlinds on your website, when do you plan to release a Windows Mobile 2003 version and maybe, a 2005 version too ?

Thanks for your answers. Keep going on this great work

I'm afraid not. PocketBlinds is essentially dead. The lead developer of it got hired by Microsoft and the project has kind of got dormant. The other issue is that Windows CE (Windows Mobile or whatever the latest name) goes through fairly rapid and significant revisions that would make it very difficult to keep up with the latest version.

Hi Tandis,

Too bad, I was really happy to see a port of DirectSkin on PPC...

Anyway, thanks for your answer.

Not to send anyone away from StarDock, but in my opinion, WisbarAdvance2 and the new coming WisbarAdvance Desktop ROCK! you can skin just about everything and have Virtual pages on your PPC. Check out the forums at Lakeridge for info about WisbarDesktop.

10 Thumbs up for Chris McKay and his Wisbar. It's the best and he has the best support!!!
