Unable to adjust 3d view

Middle mouse buton

I have tried all I can but cannot get the middle mouse button on my MX-310 Logitech mouse to change the angle of view.My older microsoft mouse worked fine with the game, now with this new one, no joy.
I have checked and installled the newest drivers from logitechs site, and all the button configurations are default.
Has anyone else had this issue??

Have you tried the F1 to F4 keys?

Just tried it, only zooms picture in tight, bounces then goes to default startup view. this is new fresh install of the game, reinstalled Sat.

P.S Here is a little update, my work system which uses the microsoft optical USB, which is the same one that went bad on me works just fine. F1 through F4 work as well. This is the win2k system, vs my XP Pro with the new Logitech mouse.

Update, the problem is with the Logitech software, which part I am not completely sure. But, I removed all the logitech installed software and now the 3D rotation, and angle adjustments work normally. Now, what should I do? Contact Logitech, send another bug report in?

Ok, more testing, If I install the mouse driver only, via update driver. All works normally, If I install the full Mouseware 1.79.1 the rotating and angle adjustment via the scroll wheel do not work. F1 thourgh F4 work, but do not have the full range of adjustment. I will submit a bug report as well, and attach the exe for the mouseware which is 4.2 meg in size

I think someone reported a similar issue quite some time back (beta 1 maybe), I guess its a compatibility thing they've still to work on.

It sounds like when you install the Mouseware, it is resetting your Middle Button settings. Have you looked at your mouse settings to set your middle click to be a middle click? I've had that issue before where the middle click got redefined by the "enhanced" drivers to be something else. I believe that GC2 is looking for a middle click message.

yep, first thing I tried, but that does not explain why it works perfect with just the drivers. The enhacments are still avalible in the settings window, the only diff is it is a microsoft control panel not logitechs. Logitech also has a patch that supposedly forces the mouse to maintain the same button settings for games, tried that as well, with the same result.
To me it seems that the replacement control panel from logitech is blocking the middle button changes, since with the driver only it works normally
