Can't change start menu height

just as my headline says, I can't change my start menu after windows blinds starts, it is always as two rows and it's very annoying though I want it as just one row, please help!

you mean the bottom taskbar?
you can't drag it back down?
is it locked? righ click on it and see if lock the taskbar is checked.

Are you talking about the taskbar or the Startmenu? I am not sure why anyone would want the startmenu that small so I assume you mean the taskbar?

Try right-clicking on it and make sure you untick "Lock the taskbar". Then mouse over the top-rim of the taskbar and left-click and drag the taskbar downwards.

In case I really misunderstood you, would you be able to explain what you mean with a 'one row tall startmenu'? Are you talking about the user-pane (the area of the startmenu which displays your login name)?

yes, taskbar maybe it's called(my english is not so good), sorry about the start menu thing and stupid of me it was locked, but i still can't get it to one row, but with two at a time, so i can have my taskbar at 0 rows, 2, 4, 6 and so on, thanks for the help

Did you try that?

In addition, turn off 'Auto Hide Icons' and 'Quick Launch' when you do it. Temporarily changing skins may also fix it.

yes, i can resize it, but i can't set it as just one row, i tried the autohide and quick launch functions, but nothing happened

I was trying on skins the other day and I believe I came across a double taskbar default. You can change this in WB preferences- User Overrides- Advance Settings. Hope this helps

I have the latest version of WB which is registered too, and I don't see that option. What version are you using?

Hi Cindi,
He's talking about clicking the Windowblinds button on the appearance page of display properties and then choosing User Overrides from the Settings list. In the drop down box below advance settings it gives you the option to allow the skin to decide the taskbar size or have small or large.

I hope Troy got my late night reply from Thurs. I have two different email accounts (work and home) the bellsouth account (work) doesn't mind sending roadrunners mail but roadrunner doesn't always send out the bellsouth mail.

Geez, do I feel silly!! Thanks Michael. I didn't look there. And yes, Troy got it. He is looking forward to see what can be worked out. I didn't know there were problems with the email between RR and BellSouth. I will tell Troy to keep an eye out for that. Hope you're having a good weekend. Take care.

This is now the second thread this week in which I can't access the response of the original author. In this thread I do not see posts #3 and #5.

Even if I use Firefox or IE instead of the SDC discussion panel to browse the forum, these posts are not visible for me. Anyone else having a similar problem with this thread or is is just me?

[After submitting this, I just noticed that post #12 is invisible to me too]

I do not see them either. I think it has something to do with the author being from Joe User. They can probably be seen there. Don't ask me why though, I don't know!
