Ship Names

Hey-

I was wondering if the ability to name ships was implemented in the game? It seems like, with all the resources going into shipbuilding, it would follow that the custom ships were given individual names (instead of warbird class cruiser #4) or whatever. I'd love to have a giant flagship 'Enterprise', and name all of one class after states or something. It would be pretty cool to be like "i'm moving the enterprise, ohio, and new jersey battlegroup to alpha centauri to deal with alien presence'.

Anyhow, I thought that'd be an easy implementation, so i'm hoping its already in. But if not, anyone agree with me that it should be put in?

There should be option to:
1) Name ship class (Like Bahamut Class Destroyers or Croatia Class Carrier or simply Laser III or Rocket IV)
2) Name ships individualy (So that you can name largest and most important ships, like B.B. Croatia or U.S.S. Enterprise)

You can rename ships. Just click on the ship name while viewing it's info on the main map. A popup will appear and you enter the new name.

There is a bug in this release where the ship graphic stops moving with the ship if you rename it. A save and reload fixes that for now, until the bug is addressed in the next beta.

Then you'll be happy to know that both exist!

1. You name the class when you design it. A box appears when you finsh to set a name and write a description.
2. As PC says, you can renamne your ships individually by calling up the ships info and clicking on the current name.
