Poor Icons: Is this normal

Caveat: I'm a new ObjectDock user (as of yesterday), so maybe I've done something wrong.

ObjectDock works beautifully with hires png icons and even the standard extracted 32x32 icons look fine on the Dock when they are unzoomed (zoomed is a different matter, but I understand why that is, and accept it).

My problem lies with the icons on a fly-out that targets a folder - They look like they are 16x16 low-quality jpegs that have then been enlarged. Example...

Any suggestions greatly appreciated, since this is a bit of a show-stopper.

System is IBM Thinkpad R-40 XP with Radeon 7500 with up-to-date fully functional drivers.

HatSorter,

If you go to "Display Properties > Appearance tab > Item list: Icon" - is the icon size set to default 32?

If not, try setting it to 32 and test.

Thanks for that.

My preferred Icon Size has always been 24, but I've set it to 32 as you suggested and it has improved the look.

Problem is, the fly-out icons seem to be 48 pixels with no way to change that, so they're still being scaled up from 32 and look blurred. It makes me want to clean my glasses, but if this is as good as it's going to get I suppose I can learn to live with it.

I think part of the problem is that the Flyout menus use the icons within the folder. If you're using standard Windows icons, they're going to look 'not so great'.

hmm.. but the standard icons go up to 48x48, so why doesn't OD use the biggest size avalible?

I have seen myself that OD doesn't use the largest iconsize availible...
