Wallpaper on Apple 23" HD Cinema Display

Hey all, i'm new to all this, It works great so far, but i'm using a Dimension 8400 and an Apple 23" HD Cinema Display and screen resolution 1920 * 1200. For most backgrounds this isn't a problem, but for some especially with objects in the center like Carbon Sapphire XP the object gets distorted. My question is this, what is the best way to modify the background .bmp files to appear correctly on my display. So far my favorites skins are Carbon Sapphire XP and Repetoire, both of which have circular objects dead center... Any help is appreciated. I have any tools needed to modify bmp, such as photoshop etc. so I just need to know how to go about it.

You would have to crop the wallpaper to the same aspect ration as your monitor. The aspect ration of your HD screen is 1.6, while the ratio of most wallpers (800x600, 1024,768, 1280x1280) is 1.3.
