Vanishing Icons? / uninstall, but OD still on HD?

wth?

I used OD for a minute now, but I noticed, while using my copmuter, that icons form my objectbar, would get covered w/ a "cheetah pattern" and jsut vanish, making me create a new icon.

why does this happen? some type of virus or something?

also, I just uninstalled Object Dock, but I noticed, it was still up and running like usual.

and everytime I restart my PC, i can see it running at 1st, but then will disappear.

can anyone help me?

Have your tried clearing the cache for ObjectDock?

Do you mean the display or does the computer actually disappear?
If it disappears, how do you know that Object Dock is still running?
If Bichur's fix doesn't work, we could use a little more info. Is this a new install for Object Desktop? What programs do you have running at startup? What is your OS? Did you install using Stardock Central?
