IP3 Does Work

To anyone who has had problems with IP3: Follow the advice of others in the forums. Get the latest build from SDC. It works. I bought it at the end of June and had a lot of problems with it. I sat on it all this time. Last night I decided to try again. It works and it is a great product. I followed the instructions in the forums. Too bad the original release didn't work out of the box. As I said in another post some problems aren't easily resolved. This is a happy ending

There was some pain with the original 3.0 build on some systems. We never were able to figure out why our new DLL (which let people change certain "unchangeable" icons) caused havoc on some setups (so we ended up having to remove it until we can do more study on it). But at this point, IconPackager 3 should be pretty rock solid.

I doubt it. I just tried it and I am not impressed at all. How are you going to SELL something that doesnt change the Icons half the time, will not uninstall, and conflicts with other programs?

I know your pain stard1ck. I couldn't get it to work either but over time by carefully following the directions in this forum I got the correct configuration and now like Tandis says it is "rock solid" on this machine. It's only $14.95. There is software that costs 6 or 7 times as much that doesn't always work right. I know that fooling around with skinning software can be a crap shoot but that's part of the fun to see what will happen.
