Why does the native windows xp home taskbar continue to display when I have OB active?

right click it, properties, then see if hide the windows taskbar is checked (bottom left on mine)

And when that works for a bit, but the taskbar comes back of its own accord, you could try the app I wrote that monitors the taskbar and keeps it hidden. check the ob newsgroup for more info (and more gripes by me and others...)

I don't see an option to "Hide the windows taskbar" with the version of ObjectBar that I'm using.

If you are using the 2.0 beta it's in the bottom left hand corner of the theme editor. If you are using 1.65 then it's in the theme options somewhere (it's been a while)
