Icon Position Saving

Hey all!!

I have a problem I wanted to know if anyone has a solution to.

I have a laptop that i use both IN and OUT of a docking station. When its in the docking station the res is 1800x1440, when its OUT I run it at 1400x1050.
My problem is the dang desktop icons. Every time i boot into the docking station, the resolution might not change to the 1800, it might drop to 1024, etc.
I also have to change the res now and then for some things i work on.

My simple question is...
Can ICONX save the position of my icons? Or is there some other program that i can use WITH IconX to save the position. The position would need to be save based on the SCREEN RES. And they would have to change based on me changing the resolution. I dont care if i have to do a "save" when i have the icons where i want them.

PLEASE HELP!!!

And if IconX cant do this, PLEASE ADD IT!!!!!!!!

Scentori,

With DesktopX loaded i do not see the "Save/restore" in the right-click menu.

Is there a way to add them?

I don't use DesktopX, but can each theme, or whatever they're called have a custom right-click menu?

Try holding the [CTRL] key, then right-click. I know I have to do that at home, since otherwise, the RightClick menu will pop up instead.

If that doesn't work, you can try exiting DesktopX, save the position of your icons, then reload DekstopX

If neither of those options work, then I'm stumped, so hopefully it does.
