WindowFX and Desktop icons

Won't hold layout

Sorry for posting here, but I couldn't find a dedicated forum nor even a newsgroup for WindowFX. I enabled the option to use large icons on the Desktop with no text, which worked as expected. However if I reboot, the icons loose their original place and are all lined up in one vertical row on the left of the screen. Is there some setting I'm missing that would retain my desired layout of these icons? If I disable the items in "Desktop icons", reposition the icons on the Desktop and reboot, they retain their respective positions as they always have.

Right click in any blank space on your desktop. On the pop-up menu, select "arrange icons by", and another mini-menu slides out. On that menu, make sure you do NOT have 'auto arrange' checked. If you do, uncheck it and the problem should be solved. Good luck

I have exactly the same problem as you and I also do not have "auto arrange" checked on the contexmenu!
can someone explain me how to fix this problem please?

Right click on Desktop > Properties > Desktop > Customize Desktop > Web > Check box labeled "Lock Desktop Items" Then OK > Apply > OK ..... That's it.
