Hi... I have 4 partitions for my hard disk. for some reson 2 of my hard disks' partitions have the label of a CD Drive... The other 2 are just fine, knowing that everything is working fine, it's just a matter of labels and icons. any help out there?

Are you saying the OS sees them as removable storage devices, or just that the icons assigned to the drive letters indicate CD instead of Hard Drive?

What does Disk Management say they are? (If running XP: Administrative tools > Computer Management > Disk management).

Are they primary partitions or logical drives?

Trying to get some more details so someone can offer competent advice.

The system see them as Hard Drives... I already checked the Disk Management and it says that it is a Hrad Disk... It opens with me as a Hard Disk... They are Primary partitions... So there is no problem at all except for the Icons only... I know that this may be wierd, I mean this is the first that it happines to me or ever hear about it... What do you think?

Okay, step #2 -

Are you, or have you, used any customization programs to change the icons?

If so, which programs?

Are the current icons that show the hard drives as CD drives the default windows icons?

Note - if you are running the default icons only, you can look in your systemroot folder for a file named "Autorun.inf" (you will need to tell windows to show hidden files).

If it exists, delete it and reboot the computer. See if that clears it up.
