Can DX be scripted to control ANY media player?

I was just wondering if DX can be scripted to control any media player at all or if there are only certain ones. I happen to use Nero Mediaplayer, and if it is possible to script for it, I would like to learn how so I can control it within DX.

Any help appreciated.

hm... have you tried the DXPlayer plugin? Does it use your player by using the default settings?
Have a look at Nero Mediaplayer's website if there's any resources for controlling the player by scripts.
