silkwitit216,

Are you running the Shareware (free) version, or the Enhanced (purchased) version?

If you are running the shareware version, I believe it does not load at start-up.

If you are running the enhanced version, and it was previously loading at start-up - you might try applying a different skin to see if it is a global issue in program, or just a skin.

If you find it is a global issue, you might want to go with saving the skin folders to a temporary folder, then uninstalling WB > reboot > delete the WB folder located in "\Program Files\Stardock" - or "\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop" folder > reinstall WB, making sure to install an official release version and not a Beta version (just deselect the "Show pre-release versions" check box at bottom of Starddock Central if installing from that program).

The only thing I see in your system information that jumps out is the 256 MB RAM, which is actually a smaller amount than recommended for running XP (especially Pro version).

I hope this helps in some way.

The shareware version DOES work at startup! The only problems I could think of:

- Faulty installation
- Failure to restart computer after installation for versions under 4.5
- Using Desktop Properties to delete a skin, resulting in the deleteion of core files for WindowBlinds at times

Look for a button which says load windowblinds on startup, or something like that.

No such setting.

Work around is to go to WindowBlinds folder: C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop\WindowBlinds
Copy wbload.exe to startup folder: C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
Try unistall reinstall first, WB should load at start up by default.

If you set it to the windows default, it won't load at startup anymore (window default acts like the default off/don't run) - if that's what happened & you have theme mgr, run it and load WB after that it will run.

Hey Bichur, yes you are correct about windows default, I should have been a little clearer that there is no run at startup setting. If sikwitit216 would answer back we would be able to find out if a skin had been selected or not.

Yeah, that non option drove me nuts a while back. Had set it to default to 'start over' on my desktop. Then whenever I ran WB through start, it would just 'blip'. Finally I remembered ThemeMgr and got it going again.
