Start Menu trouble

When I change a skin in WB, the taskbar changes but doesnt display perfectly, and the start menu appears as the windows default with a few color changes (depending on the skin). I already did a uninstall and reinstall and it didn't fix it. Should I uninstall, delete my skins, and then reinstall? I just formatted so I don't have too many. I'm really at a loss for a solution here.

Please leave a bit more information.

WindowBlinds version (shareware or enhanced), OS you are running.

Here is a link to the zapper utility Link, which you can download > double-click > use the "uninstall" tab to select and remove the current installation.

Before using zapper, do the following:

- Unload WindowBlinds > use Display Properties to return Windows to the default theme including any icons (if you are running IconPackager, use the "Tools > Restore All Icons" in that program first).

- Download a fresh copy of WindowBlinds if you do not use SDC to install

Now use zapper utility to uninstall.

Reboot computer > delete the WindowBlinds folder in "\Program Files\Stardock" folder if it still exists > reinstall WindowBlinds > Reboot computer > test program.

These are just some basic steps to use based on limited information, and should be safe to try.

Move all skins folders from WindowBlinds folder to another, zapper will delete them.

Thanks a lot, sorry I didn;t leave enough info.. wasn't thinking. Running XP Pro with the most current version of WB from SDC (can't think of it off hte top of my head). I'll give those steps a try.

Hi, I've the same problem (using Win 2000 Prof. ServicePack 4 & WB 4.3). StartMenü will always be the same (windows-standard with some other colours depending on the skin). I've uninstalled everything, used the zapper-utility, installed via stardockcentral a new version of WB with no effect....
Any hint? (I tried the thema: "PixOffice" or "daemon" for WB with no effect)
