System Tray Object

System tray objects aren't working for me. I downloaded three simple ones and also made a very basic one of my own. They never show ANY icons, which I know is wrong because I can see icons on my normal Windows system tray. I'm using DesktopX Pro 3 with the Builder loaded.

You have to have the MCP program load at boot up. Start Stardock Central, goto 'Tools'>'Settings'. Click on 'General' under the 'Settings' heading. Check 'Enable MCP notification area support.'

Reboot your computer just in case.

All your systray objects should work now.

Well, the 'Enable MCP notification area support.' checkbox was already checked, but I decided to reboot just in case. And now it works. Thanks.

It still does not work in my case, though MCP notification is enabled, and system restarted. Please, if anybody had to cope with the problem, tell me the solution.

Hi there I'm new and had the same prob but after reading this I've tried the suggestion but at first it didn't work then I saw that there's an 'Enable MCP smartstartup' and after cheking that it started working. So I thought I'll share this with ya maybe it will be usefull for someone at whom MCP was enabled but didn't work and the smartstartup wasn't.

In my case I was missing two files in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Stardock\". There should be "sdmcp.exe" and "mcpcore.dll". I found the files under "\Temp\SDCommon\" in the folder I installed SDCentral to.
(you might need "MCPStub.dll" too.)
Then restart your computer and hopefully it should work now.
