Some thought about interface

In the Beta 2, you have no warning about the fact that all BC produced in a field (military, social, research) will be unused. It can happen when you forget to set a research and have a research slider that produces BC.

So, it would be nide to have a warning about this when:
- you leave the research screen without any research set and while having research BC produced
- you leave the ecomonic screen (the one with sliders spendings) with reserch BC produced and no research set
- a confirmation message when hitting the "turn button" to allow the user to change the settings before processing the following turn
The research warning/confirmation messages should be toggable by one option in the option screen

It could be nice to have the same behavior for military and social.

Even better, it would be nice to have that warning whenever "MONEY IN" is greater than "MONEY NEEDED". Take social production, for instance. It is possible that some (or all) planets have completely finished all items in their social production queues. The amount of money provided to social production may be greater than the amount that all planets with active social production could possibly use (and the surplus is just discarded). Same goes for military. For research, is it possible to put so much money into research that your planets may not have enough research capacity to use it all? Anyway, just thought I'd put that out there to think about.

GC1 had this. If the money in was greater than money needed the treasury field was green. If money needed exceeded money in the field was yellow. If the treasury was bankrupt, the field was red. I have to believe that this scheme will be carried over into GC2.

This was a problem in GC1 that was never solved. I dearly hope GC2 will solve this before it goes Gold.

GC/OS2 did not have this problem. When a planet was not building a social or military project, the spending that would have gone to that planet got parceled out to those planets that were.

For research, is it possible to put so much money into research that your planets may not have enough research capacity to use it all?

That didn't happen in GC1, and the pattern for spending is very similar in GC2, so I doubt that will happen.

I have had large problems with this one and would really appreciate such a warning.

Don't worry, we haven't even started the usability stuff. That won't really get going until this Fall.
