Ship list not informative

When I open the ship list the ships show a "movement left" box. This is not updated. So at the end of a turn, when all of my ships have moved, the ship list shows how much movement the ship would have at the beginning of a turn. If you click on the ship *then* it updates.

Along with being able to filter (or sort) the list, the data needs to be updated to be useful.

Also, it would be very useful if somehow we could have the mini-map and shiplist open at same time. And when you place your cursor over a ship in the list it would lite up on the mini-map. Along with this I think it would be cool if you could highlight the sector it was traveling to if in transit.

I find it hard to locate where my ships are if I have a lot of them.

Also in the ship list it would be nice if they are listed as to wether or not they are in orbit around a planet. (I don't think it does this??)

I have also had the crash bug where if I select a ship from the list I get sent to desktop. Happened when I was trying to find my transports.

Sorting the ship list and the planet list was promised some time ago, but I think it will still be a while before it happens.

Have any of you tried clicking on a ship in the ship list? If the ship is not in orbit it centers the main screen on that ship. At one point it would center the star system it was in orbit around, but I think that got lost somewhere along the line. It was nice to have.
