Wrong Serial Number

Wrong Serial Number

Has this ever happened before?

I purchased Object Desktop about 3 hours ago, but I never got a confirmation email or what.

I've downloaded Stardock Central, made sure my name, email and serial number (that I got in Step 3 where it says print this page etc...). SC declares that my serial number is invalid.

I've used the Lookup Serial Number function of SC. The email(s) I get from the function do not contain any serial number suggesting that I never purchased anything.

This is really frustrating!!!

I've already email sales in the hope that this will be rectified as soon as possible.

Are you sure that the number in the email is not the order number instead of the serial number?

I think that was the case with me (way back when). Perhaps on Monday when the Stardock crew is back in the office you can email sales@stardock.com to straighten out the situation.

f4ier,

Since you said you used the function in SC, I am thinking you may not have tried entering your e-mail address in text box here Link

You should get a "Lookup Successful" message after entering e-mail address and clicking "GO" button.

If so, wait for that e-mail to reach you.

It should contain a link to download Stardock Central, and a Product Key to use when installing.

If you do not receive the "Lookup Successful" message, then something obviously has gone wrong and it would be best to contact sales.

Good luck, and I am sure you will be pleased once you are able to install the Object Desktop programs on your computer via Stardock Central interface.

Zubaz, in frustration I was actually using that order ID as the serial number

Corky, the lookups were all successful, but the replies I get in my Inbox do not contain any serial number; this looks like my order got messed up somewhere in their system.

I shall be patiently waiting for sales or support.

I'm currently using trial versions to make XP look and behave more Mac-like. I'm just tired of the ol' XP look. I'm quite pleased with the results thus far.
