On last wednesday night The Al-jazeera arabic news channel celebrated nine years on the begining of its broadcast in Doha ,Qatar ,Nine years of success and contervarsy no other arabic or western channel whether private or public channel , this channel made from Quiet small Qatar ,a center of arguments

Al-Jazeera begins !!
AL-Jazeera beginning was built upon the ruins of BBC arabia ,all the workers in BBC arabia went to Qatar from Faisal El-Qasm ,Ahmed Mansour ,Assad Taha and most famous Yousri Fouda 'the famosu 9/11 program that led to the arrest of several El-Qaida members, and many other also of directors and editors , Ironically the BBC Arabic tv was closed because of the Arabic dictatorship ,the channel was a franchise owned by Price Walid IBN Talal " Orbit Network", it was something new in arabic media ,an arabic news channel with international standards ,bold and aggressive for some ,freedom supporter for other , anyway BBC arabia came to an end when a program discuss the internal affairs of Saudia Arabic ,calling for more freedom and hosting some of the famous opposition saudia leaders for the first time , well next the signal of the channel disappeared from the Hot Bird Satelite and from the world ,closing the channel but this was just the begining

Another channel was starting its first steps in Qatar ,a small gulf country peaceful one untill its crown prince had overthrown his own father sending him to exile ,and begining to make Qatar a center of panic between its gulf and arab neighbours
The Al-jazeera channel recruited most of the ex-BBC arabic stuff ,those rebel journalists most them of come from Egypt ,Algeria ,Tunisia ,Syria and Lebanon ,and most of them wanted more than anything the freedom of Speech

The channel started broadcasting from nine years ago anf till now no one knows for real who is the real owner of the Al-jazeera ,some say a wealthy Qatari business man, some say their forienger affairs minster ,some say it is the prince and even some say it is funded by the C.I.A ! and the Iserali Mossad !!

The channel became famous internationally after 9/11 with Bin Laden and El-Zaowahary theartrical speeches exclusive on its screen ,making its logo an international brand name ,giving thoughts for the channel to make an English twin channel for the arabic one and already they are making it ,after lunching two sports channel and Live channel for broadcasting direct live events

Causing trouble and waking the people
Al-jazeera channel in only nine years had and has and will have troubles with the arabic regimes from the Altantic ocean to persian Gulf ,I don't recall any regime that wasn't under the attack of Al-jazeera 's fire except of course the Qatar regime 'not for beign democractic but being hosted in the country !!!"
Most attacked regimes are Egyptian ,Syrian ,Saudi, tunisian , already the Al-jazeera started its celebration with two important Egyptian personalities who oppose the governmet Ex-prime Minister Aziz Sadky who opened a real hell on the government and the president
then yesterday The famous Writer and journalist Mohamed Hussein Hakial ,Hakial is one of the most important writers in The arab world ,already was a close friend and consulant to the Egyptian president Gamal Abd EL-Nasser , Hakial yesterday opened a calm fire on the whole arabic regime in general and the Egyptian one in specific

Al-jazeera did what I guess a mission impossible for long ,for the first time the liberal arabic voice got a forum to speak in , and this happened in Al-jazeera ,for long time arabic viewers lost their connection with the media ,as the latter is either owned by the regime or afraid of it or even so hard to understand or unable to get it , The educated arabs had before al-jazeera either BBC arabic radio service or radio Mount Carlo of France or Voice of America of the U.S , in television the CNN 'favorite for Egyptians before the Coming of Al-jazeera and BBC ',



ironically The Egyptian and saudi regimes established two news channels to fight back the al-jazeera effect and they failed so they supported another news channel "al-arabya' news channel from MBC network ,already Al-arabya got excellent stuff ,yet it is ranked the 2nd after our Qatari channel

The slogan of Al-jazeera is the opinion and other opinion ,and it is true working slogan in the channel ,for the first time The iserali , and the palestinian speak at the same time ,BIn laden and Ramesfield , that was shocking at first because the arabic modern culture admitts only one opinion that is the regime voice only , Opening arabic political taboos is another hidden slogan ,for the first time the muslim brothers in Egypt and Syria speak up ,the lebanese civil war files are opened again , NO limits for freedom here except for Qatar issues

The popularity of the al-jazeera is increasing time by time ,especailly iwth its coverage to prohibited Arabic events, it reached the impossible by crashing the ice of discussion in the arab world ,why ? how ? what? who ? questions no one should ask about

I love the al-jazeera ,in fact I searched their website in how I would join it ,unfortunately it is for Qatar residents only now

Even the Terrorist scum gets a voice, they have it in Al Jazeera. Of course, when it comes to reporting on the war, the slime that calls itself the AP and other news media has thrown in to echo the voice of the terrorist scum also. They can all rot in a spider hole.

As I said before and I guess from what I read it is even difficult in the west 'The slogan of Opinion and other opinion ' is hard to achieve

one question : did any of you guys watch al-jazeera and its programs before jumping on conclusion 'terrorist supporting ', anti-iserali and anti -american ' ?

Al-jazeera ladies and gentlemen is the first arabic news channel hosting iserali important figures ,the anti -terrorism figures in our arabic socities appear more in the channel to give analysis to Bin Laden theatrical speecheds, just yesterday , Ayman El-Zoharwy made a theoritical speech at the same time al-jazeera got three anti-terrorism and liberal experts to analysis

The the anti-american thing !! come on Al-jazeera got a program 'From D.C' Hosting the american policy makers ,made the regimes of the arab world accuse the al-jazeera being funded by the C.I.A

same accusations here got its equalivant in the arab world

1- terrorism supporting = war on terrorism supporting
Bin laden appears on the channel = Documentaries prove that Bin ladenis god Damn terrorist and has to be punished

2-Anti -Iserali = Iseral supporter
shows anti-iserali figures =show iseral supporters and operates from Qatar ' a country with relations with Iseral'

3- Anti- American = American supporter
shows anti-american figures = shows the america supporter figures

any media channel to prove its honesty must provide the whole or even almost the whole picture ,not the semi picture ,not just one voice

Americans see the echo of terrorism in Al-jazeera ,well I know one thing when I turn on the channel I watch it to hear the echo of liberal movements like Kafia 'enough' and change for democracy in Egypt not for Bin Laden

Why give the terrorists a voice at all? If I raped and murdered your daughter, then announced to the world how much she enjoyed it, would you consider the "news" outlet that covered my glea "just being fair and balanced"? Would you applaud the video shown on the news? Bin Laden deserves NO VOICE. Terrorists use media to spread their message of murder, why echo that message?

Al Jazeera is NOT ANTI ISRAEL. We get it on our cable stations and it is alot more objective towards us than the news broadcasts from Jordan or Egypt. Al Jazeera was founded to give the Arab viewers a choice ... it is definitely not supportive of terrorism or it would have been banned in Israel long ago.

The problem here is listening to the other is hard thing ,especailly when it is your enemy , but sometimes you need to listen to the others

here I recall my experience from hearing the past bin laden theatrical speeches ,I am a muslim and after hearing couple of speeches I understand that he is bluffing and even got doubts about their religious data,you know how ? from the arabic language expressions they used in their speeches

Al Jazeera is NOT ANTI ISRAEL. We get it on our cable stations and it is alot more objective towards us than the news broadcasts from Jordan or Egypt. Al Jazeera was founded to give the Arab viewers a choice ... it is definitely not supportive of terrorism or it would have been banned in Israel long ago.





You're both incorrect. A very short google turned up 410,000 hit in less than .5 seconds. That's using " bin laden al-jazeera".

Al Jazeera reports the news Doc. Unfortunately, Bin Laden is still around making it. To report it does not mean they support it. That's like saying every murder trial or whatever that is reported on CNN is supported by CNN. That is ridiculous. It is just as ridiculous to assume that Al Jazeera supports terrorism just because they report on it. If you go to their homepage you will see reports from all over the Middle East, including Israel.
