HELP!

File Download

from WinCustomize Forums
In the last day or so, while attempting to download a file from the WinCustomize browzer, the save prompt dialogue does not appear when clicking on the download button. WB file seems to get directly DLd into WB skins window without prompt and other zip files seem to get directly unzipped or opened in the IE/WinCustomize/temp folder also without prompt. What gives! Would greatly appreciate some tech assistance. This is a first and impossibly frustrating

That's what it is suppose to do. If you want to download a zip file you need to use IE6. Fire Fox browser will also download it into window blinds automatically.

Using SDC, uninstall the WC browser,reboot and re-install it. Make sure you're using the newest released version of SDC

Yeah, not to worry. That's a good thing. A balloon should pop up asking you if you want to apply the skin *now*, as well.

Or you can just use your IE6 browser and right-click select Save Target As... and save the file on desired location in your hard drive.

Interesting - every time I download a WB skin in IE6 it automatically installs itself and a balloon pops up telling me a new skin has been installed and to click here to change skins. For those that are wondering I don't use SP2.

What I don't understand is that prior to a couple of days ago I could left-click on the DL button and save a file via a save to dialogue (using WinCust for the last 3 years). Now this dialogue just puffs out. So, I now changed to right-click, which works.

Actually only in WB section i have this! In other sections the usual Run-Save To download window appears. Must be some kind of convenient feature to auto-install skins from the net.
