StarDock Central pings my CPU at 98%

It also fights with McAfee

Whenever I open SD Central it hits my CPU at about 98%. I'm assuming that it's updating skin lib's or something like that but a near 100% CPU hit is hard to deal with with updating can take up to 20 minutes.

Also, if I have McAfee turned on it's a non-stop fight to see who can hit the CPU the highest, and the machine becomes unusable for a good 15-20 minutes. SD Central is the only program on my machine that makes McAfee freak out like this. So currently I turn off McAfee, launch SD Central, and leave the room for about a half an hour while SD Central does it's thing. McAfee doesn't wrestle with any other program on my machine and I do a lot of internet-related uploading/downloading/ftp/updating things with this machine with no perf issues. I don't like having to turn off my virus proggy as I forget to turn it back on

Machine info:
WinXP SP2
Athlon 3200+
2GB RAM
Radeon X800 Pro

Thanks for any help with this,
AsimoX

Try downloading Norton, Thats what i use and my cpu runs at 0% idle. Pc specs include 467mhz intel with XP pro SP2. Its a way lower performing PC. And i usually run 35procceses at a time

I don't know, tried mine and it spiked at 22% for about 4 seconds and then was loaded. Maybe try to uninstall and reinstall it, or someone may have the same problem. Good luck

SDC/ Tools/ Settings/ Skins and Themes/ General: check 'Do not check for any skins updates'

I guess that I should have mentioned that it does it with or without McAfee running, just that *with* McAfee running it not only kills my CPU but it fights with McAfee while it's doing so.
