Hitting the "print screen" button on the keyboard and pasting to an image program works great for me. Best thing about is its free and easy to use since it is available with all Windows PCs.

I'm with GhoS... print screen works just fine, but if you really need a program to help you, try HoverSnap. http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm

I like Hypersnap, but it's not free. It may not capture everything you're looking for (I've not tried the latest version).

@ Bichur. I use PrintScreen and PSP. You can adjust the quality of the .jpg you save, but Paint works decent, or just try different image programs..there are some free ones you can compare.

If you want to capture "anything" on the screen, objects, scrolling pages etc. I would recommend SnagIt http://www.techsmith.com/products/snagit/default.asp

It's THE best tool for any capturing needs

Snaggit is what I use also due its features...

~I really should get glasses eh ?

But, seriously...the print screen feature in my computer made terrible screen shots. My computer is pretty old now and I'm in need of a new computer. Its hard though, like parting from an " Old Friend "

Here's nifty little free screen capture app Link"MW Snap". Just tried it out and it works pretty good. There's also some other free tools on this link.

"MW Snap is a small yet powerful Windows program for snapping (capturing) images from selected parts of the screen. Current version is capable of capturing the whole desktop, a highlighted window, an active menu, or a fixed or free rectangular part of the screen. It runs under any 32-bit Windows. It does not require installation and does not need any special dlls, drivers or system files."

Do any of these screen captured actually capture video being palayed? Like you just wanted to snap a scene? Windows Media Player and winAmp seem to not allow screenshots of vidoes using the print screen method.

I just use print screen or Alt-Print screen for my uses.
