java script problem

I have the same problem with Desktop x that several people have written about.Java script won`t execute in explorer,norton antivirus stops working among others.There was a scriptpatch to download .It has worked fine for some and for some don't.Is there a solution when you install the program.Or can you configure your computer settings before installing the program to avoid the problems.Have recently reinstalled my windows xp professional,so it fells a bit unsecure to install desktop x again and try .Though I think it's a great program and would love to have it working on my computer.Hope someone can give me some more advice

Don't know how to prevent it or what causes it, but should it happend, it's usually solved by downloading Windows Script http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=C717D943-7E4B-4622-86EB-95A22B832CAA&displaylang=en
(661KB) run the setup, which is done instantly, then you might have to restart your computer.

You can allways make a restore point before you install DX just to be sure.
