Sexing Birds

Until now I never fully understood how to tell the difference between male and female birds. I always thought it had to be determined surgically... until now.

Below are two birds. Study them closely..... See if you can spot which of the two is the female.. It can be done. Even by one with limited bird watching skills.

Tarkus, if you want to make any more lude comments about or to me like you did in Island Dog's thread "Would you make the switch", I suggest you talk to my husband, who will be more discusted than I am.

I see I will have to spell what I meant out to you. Since neither one of us participates in porn in any way (we don't need it) nor do we display those kinds of acts for others to see, my Husband would be very angry at the un-thoughtful statement you made. You should know the person you are "joking" with first. I don't know you, and it is obvious by your comments, you don't know me. Grow up.

I think Wreckless nailed it. I guess the admins must have deleted the lude comments since I don't see anything remotely like that here. Maybe it's a subliminal post or something.

I don't see anything

It's on a different thread. Apparently you're not a very good reader, try reading my other comment. And are you Tarkus?
Operative phrase is "different thread"...yes I read comment 6...No I'm not Tarkus. Any comments made in this other thread do not extend to this one so your comments here about anything lude were not warranted here. In fact you were not even mentioned here in this thread. So why continue something that happened in another thread? Talk about grudges!

AIGHT: this is the second thread where you went off topic, i thought u guys agreed it was over with the comment:

Zoomba: I think the better way to have phrased that was "relax, it was a joke..."

wow that was interesting, me WebGizmos, and tarkus all replied clwoods at (right around) the same time...

Well Mr Know it All, I guess so I could be sure he read what I had to say. This is his thread, or hadn't you noticed. And please, mind your own business Web Gizmos.

First if all Ms.Woods.....don't ever tell me to mind my own business again. These forums are not "Clwoods forums" they are "Wincustomize forums" and they are for "all" paying subscribers. If you can't take a joke or the heat or someone disagreeing with you then do us all a favor and don't comment here. It seems that in every thread you comment in it becomes hostile and taken off topic...just as you have managed to do yet again.

You also tell people not to judge you since they don't know you...yet you do the very same thing time and again to everyone else. Practice what you preach! You don't know me so don't presume to think you can make comments as to my character or if I can read or not. Your childish comments and personal character attacks are not at all welcome.

As far as your previous comment to me regarding me holding a grudge...trust me...here's a news flash...I don't give you a second thought. I have better things to think about than holding petty grudges. So deal with your personal social problems somewhere else please. I don't come here to comment about you, I don't think about you, if you never posted here again I would not lose any sleep.

Your comment regarding your claim of lude comments in a "different thread"...which from what I see were not even about "you" was uncalled for since none existed here in "this thread"...thus my comment about your comment in the "Wincustomize forum" to which I am a subscriber...not the "Clwoods forum." Believe it or not...not all comments in threads are directed a you, so get over yourself.

And as of this moment this discussion with you about anything is over and done with. And don't ever assume you can write me directly again without my permission, which you did before.

Now..back to the birds!

Ditto.

If I had thought this was my forum I would have continued talking to Tarkus on someone elses thread. Instead I had respect for the person of the other thread and took it here, to the one who made the comments. I would have done it on his home page, but he doesn't have one. And I wasn't about to send him email, with my email account. Not to mention if you and everyone else would have minded your own business this would have eliminated 12 of the comments, including this one on this thread. So who thinks this is their forum?
And it is you WebGizmos that posted to me first, so you can justify yourself all day long. And for someone who says I do not know you, and have no room to presume anything about you, you have done alot of assuming about me. You talk out of both sides of your mouth. And I don't now, nor have I ever had any social problems. Only problems with imature men that act like boys.

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what others think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company...a church...a home. The remarkable thing is, we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for the day. We cannot change our past...we cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...I am convinced that life is 10 percent what happens and 90 percent how I react to it. And so it is with you...We are in charge of our attitudes.

While the comment in another thread was uncalled for..
I dont think the discussion, should be carried over to more threads..

the one to the right is Jafo - am i right?

if the choice is strictly male/female...

On one hand,I think the male is on the right, being all puffed up at the beach showing off...
On the other hand, I don't see his friends around so maybe he is on the left hearing about being on the beach all puffed up showing off..
On the good hand, I think you're right.

It's my understanding that for most birds it's very difficult to tell the sex unless they have plumage that distinguishes one from the other. I have a Yellow Fronted Amazon thats 20 years old and I still don't know what sex he/she is. I was told I would have to go through all kinds of tests to determine what it was.
