Even Angels Get Replaced

Sometimes you wonder,
what happens to angels,
when they get worn out from the mundane.
Just like all the people,
who get caught up in life,
who age silently, progressively,
and never realize it until it’s too late.
They just sit with their baggage,
on the runaway train we call life,
that is screaming relentlessly down a
one way track.
I guess mortality doesn’t hit you
till you’re thrown off with baggage in hand
so someone else can take your place.
And you walk on towards home,
and pot all your flowers,
and sit at your old desk,
and write poems of being forgotten.
If you clear out your desk and leave today,
Without all the fanfare and goodbyes
will people remember your name a year from now?
Even if it isn’t right.
Even when they were beautiful and are still.
Even when none of them deserves it.
Even though they love and are loved.
Even angels get replaced.
This poem was inspired by Ben Folds’ “Fred Jones Part 2". I think the best thing to say about this is that you don't have to be forgotten and replaced. It's up to you whether you live a life that will always be remembered.
I wish to all of you a life that will never be forgotten.
Peace,

You guys are too unique to forget, though....you two have made an impression on me, hopefully a positive one
