Why does ObjectDock shutdown randomly?

I would like to use ObjectDock (and perhaps Plus) in place of the Windows Taskbar, but whenever I run it, it appears for a while and then shuts itself down (I think). What I mean is that I will start it using Stardock Central, then use it for a while. Then, I will either leave my computer for a while or do some other work on the computer and when I go back to the Dock, it doesn't show up. It restarts fine from SDC, but it won't stay running. If I have the option selected, it will startup with the computer. I am only running two docklets, ObjectDock Tray, v. 1.21 and XP SP2 Start.

My computer is running XP SP2.

Thanks for any help with this.

Could be one of the docklets causing the problem. Try removing one, and trying it for a while. Still having the problem, start that docklet again, and remove the other. If you have no more problems that's the culprit.

I would start with the Tray docklet...... I've never used it, but have heard it's quirky.

OD+ has tray support built-in so if that docklet's the problem then it may be worth it to pay for the upgrade. I'm using OD+ without taskbar for nearly a year now with no problems.

I have used the OD taskbar with the registered version, also with no problems.

Thank you all for your help. It seems that the tray docklet was the issue because it is running fine, even after a wake-up, without it. I think I will get the Plus version...

Thanks again for your help.
