A lil AVG help please

I installed AVG Free on a friends PC some time ago. I'd say about two weeks ago, I ran another virus scan (I usually do the maintenance on it).

It found some viruses, but when it was finished it found 3 or 4 other "threats" when the computer was saving everything to reboot, so I clicked "send to virus vault". Come to find out, the threats had to do with Nortons internet settings because now they cant get online.

I was wanting to disinfect the files and restore them to their original locations, but cant seem to. Any AVG users out there who can help with this problem?

I downloade and tried AVG free today.
It found 2 joke files (trendmicro finds all 6) = deleted them without asking.

All I had to do was open the vault right click and restore.

Seems to me, if you disinfected then you might have removed part of the file.

have your tried going into internet options - connections?

Anytime i have trouble getting online it's cuz something messed up the proxy - i just reset to localhost 8080 and get back online.
