You never seem to find $100 lipstick marks,
On the butt of a Marlboro Ultra Light that's been sucked down to the filter,
Flicked out the window of a white Escalade,
With white leather interior,
Custom embroidered seats with the drivers' moniker,
A critical habitat license plate that reads the same.
An outfit to compliment a cart full of over-priced organic produce,
The magazines said that irony was going to be very 'in' this spring,
But she complains about the weather,
Traffic congestion,
And the price of cigarettes.
Sipping diet coke,
Reading the New York Times,
She's appalled and exhausted,
Driving all the way from the suburbs,
To maintain an appearce of being well cultured,
It's a full time job.
So was learning French,
To pernounce wines correctly,
What was it that goes so well with contempt?
