Stardock Central will not uninstall

Hi

I own Object Dock Plus, and yesterday put Stardock Central on, didnt really like it so I tried to uninstall it. I am using XP Pro I went to CPanel- Ad Remove - Stardock Central..When I start the uninstall i get stuck here everytime
c/Prog~1/Common~1/Stardock/sdmcp.exe-shutdown........

It never gets past this, I have to Cntrl - ALt- Del to close it.

Is there a fix for this?

I assume you're shutting down the un-install process. You need to open Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DEL once) and end the sdmcp.exe that is running, then un-install SDC.

1: Uninstall SD central using Add/remove in windows
2: Then use Cntrl - ALt- Del to terminate "sdmcp.exe"
3: The program should continue to remove itself

Seems like the uninstall process cannot remove the "sdmcp.exe" by itself. This worked for me and i am finally rid of stardock

I do not mind the other programs, but stardock has resulting in my computer crashing several times and this one guy wanted to know how to remove it. Since the uninstall feature does not work this was my way of showing people how it could be done.

I think he means Stardock Central.

To the OP:

It's very unusual that SDC should cause the PC to crash. You should find out why, it's most likely not SDC.

SDC is very useful for keeping your subscribed apps up to date.
