The latest blog from the IE developers confirms that Alphatransparent PNG is comming. And they are working on better CSS support.

I also heard they are working on a new technology for browsers called "tabbed browsing", it could be interesting.

Its great that they are finally admitting that it needs improvement and working on it. If Firefox never came along, probably would have been stuck with the current IE til Longhorn. Even with the additions they are still behind. I personally haven't heard of any reasons for me to return to IE. I'll probably update it though since I do use it from time to time for those pesky sites that don't code properly.

I'll probably update it though since I do use it from time to time for those pesky sites that don't code properly.


Not to worry to long on purposefully installing IE7, I am sure a new game from MS, or some need to intergrate with the MS website, Update site, or Lateset version of Messenger will require that you update to become properly functional again. Do not kid yourselves and think that MS will leave the installation as an option. There is no way in hell they are going to let Firefox keep its' toehold.

Even though I'm most likely to keep with Firefox I'll update to IE7 asap even though it might not be an required download. This is because IE is more than a browser, it's a whole platform. You got an array of programs that use the IE control, you got chm help files which uses the IE platform and you got HTA application which uses the IE platform. Loads of stuff other than just the browser rely on IE.
