Can't connect with second machine

This morning I installed the trial version of Multiplicity and it worked without problems. So I decided to purchase the software and I installed the latest version (1.01) on SDCentral. I uninstalled the trial version on both computers, rebooted, installed first the secondary machine and then the primary.

Since then, I'm not able to connect to the secondary machine, no matter what I try (reinstalling, rebooting etc.). I can connect to the secondary computer using "My Network Places", I can access files etc.
The following error message keeps coming up when I try to connect: "Connection test failed. Multiplicity has been unable to connect to the secondary machine" etc. and then the thing about the firewall.

Since it worked with the trial version (1.0), I guess that the change of connection protocols as described in the "history" has something to do with my problem.

Anyone knowing how to solve this problem?

I have had the same thing happen. I had the trial version (1.0) until it expired. Then I downloaded Stardock Central, and then purchased a ThinkDesk subscription--which included the regular (non-pro) version 1.01. After installing, uninstalling, reinstalling, multiple reboots, etc. I have been able to control one machine with the other but not the other way around. Everything had been hunky-dory under the trial version.

Anybody have any ideas? I am running WinXP on my desired secondary and Win2K on my desired primary. Firewalls all check out OK (McAfee on secondary, ZoneAlarm on primary), and nothing has changed other than the installation of SDC, TD, and the reinstall of MP.

Christoph, I had the exact same problem after uninstalling the trial and installing the purchased version (as Stardock directed me to do). After a few reboots and configuration trials I got tired and removed everything again. On a hunch I installed the trial version 1.0 (which had 5 days left) and it worked right away! So I am guessing something on ver 1.01 was changed. I went ahead and installed 1.01 from Stardock Central "Over" the trial version to register it and rebooted as I crossed my fingers.... it worked! Copy and paste even works! Some file that is used is not overwritten or something and that file works (my guess). I'll stick with this configuration until Stardock fixes it with another update!
