Mini Map ship icons not moving

Ok i was testing this game again today (woot free time) but any way i realized icouldnt see my ships on the mini map so i clicked to show them but my flag ship was half way acrost the map while the icon never moved away from my home star, i thought this might just glitch some so i did it with a colony ship and same thing! justa litle thing to help dont know if any one else has brought this up...oh also the mini map when you click the ships icon shows ships in the fog of war areas
