WB button skinning problem

I am learning how to do WB skins with some problems. I have managed to do a Task Bar and Task Tray, but i am having problems with making buttons. I made one with the magic pink, but i get a trace of pink around the outside of the button. Any help and or tutorial links would be great.

Just about every button can be done using .tga's instaed of .bmp's. That should cure the pink problem.

I have looked at alot of WB skin images to get an idea on how they are made. I noticed that the buttons have a marquee around them. I made a tga, but it didn't look like that. My image was solid with no seperation from the background and my button. It worked when i applyed the skin, but the pink was still there. Also, when i saved it as a tga, i could'not see the image untill i opend it in my art program. Just an icon. Somthin i ain't doin right.
