Unable to set Email checker info with desktopX 3.

none of the old widgets or objects for checking email will let me set the info for server ID and password.
this REALLY has to be fixed fast cause thats the main reason i use it.

They do, it's just that you have to edit the Configuration of the plugin for the mail object. It's only in DX3 that the ability to configure the parameters dynamically via script has been available.

i used to edit scripts in the old DX ones at times. to add info i needed on displays. how do i edit a script in DX3? i cant find any way to get into them.

Rightclick the scripted object and choose "Edit Script". If no script is assigned to the object you have to right click - properties then "New Script".
Remember to use DesktopX Builder.

I think you are running "DesktopX" and not the "DesktopX Builder". The "DesktopX Builder" is part of the "Standard" and "Pro" version, but not if you have the "Client" version.

If you rightclick the DesktopX icon in the system tray, choose "DesktopX Welcome" a window should appear with "Load Widget", "Load Object", "Load Desktop" and then "Create". If you don't have the "Create" button then I'd you have the client version and cannot edit anything.
(The for the DesktopX Builder file is "DesktopX Builder.exe" and would be located in your DesktopX folder.)
