Disciples II v 1.00.005

I have installed Disciples II v1.00.004 and I see that a new version is available. But I find very strange that the new version is a download of 1 GB. Is it normal? What is exactly updated? What have changed with the previous version?

i have the exact same error. Anyone know if there is a way to get the game to run? Is any of the official patches usable with the ultimate edition?

Hi guys,


Nothing's been changed code-wise, so I'm not sure why you were able to download the game again, we'll have to check on that. All the patches available for Disciples have already been applied to the install.


Project003 - What error are you getting? Did you install the all the various pieces in SDC or just the base install?

Yes.. all the pieces...
I dont get any error message, just after clicking one of the selections in the splash screen the computer loads for a second and the splash screen appears again.
I get an error report in GallaensReturn (Discipl2.exe.crash.txt) witch tells me this (long, and dont tell me anything):

Could it have something to do with that the game tries to creat a virtual drive named E: and that this conflicts with one of my HD's?
or is it something else wrong.
I could try to get the demo or the original game (that i have on a box that i got, but do not contain any plugins.

I would be most grateful for help. I have checked the official forum on Strategy first and tried to contact their support. but the forum has nothing that seems to fit my error and the support does not answer.

Just tried the demo of the original game. and i get the same error there.
Clicking the exe file loads the hd for a second.. then nothing else happens.. anyone seen anything like this who have any idea what it might be?

Okay, we've tracked this down to a WindowBlinds conflict. If you add the various Disciples II .exe files to the exclusion list in WB, that should fix things up. We're also going to be making them an automatic exclusion in the next WB update.
