Feature to extend functionality to the corporate desktop

Here I am on break at work with my workstation locked when I realized, I can no longer see the clock (time) on my PC screen.
Is it possible for DX to have a feature that would allow widgets to show on a locked workstation? I know MS only shows the "ctrl-alt-del to unlock this station" dialog, but it would be awesome if my worked station could still show the time, or how my stocks are doing, etc...
