DesktopX DIED!!!!

(it really did, and it almost took my pc with it)

I installed DesktopX and was outstanded!!! I immediately went and downloaded all sorts of skins, but everyonce in a while, it would crash (ex. animated wallpapers). I deleted those and went around happilly importing all of my favorite images into objects. When I decided to do my theme squeakers-like (see my skins), I needed to make a trashcan. I found a script from another one, changed out the images, tested it, and I could never use DesktopX again. Every time I tried to load it, the alert would come up, and ask me if I wanted to start a new theme, or attempt to load the old theme. No matter what button I chose, it would freeze up and I would be forced to use ctrl+alt+del. I tried uninstalling it, reinstalling it, deleting the folder, etc., etc., etc, but nothing worked. I seeked help by emailing stardock, but I just got a stupid automatic response. I need HUMAN HELP!!!!!! PLEASE!!!! DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS!!!!!?????

You need to be a little more specific. What version of DesktopX are you using, your operating systems, etc.

I would try installing the latest version and see if that solves any of the problems.

Try and delete the following folder first: C:\Documents and Settings\"your account name"\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\DesktopX\Current Theme. Then reboot the computer.

If this doesn't work either, try and uninstall again (yes I know) but this time use the zapper program that used to be supplied by Stardock. I just spent 20 minutes searching the Stardock website for it but couln't find it (why does that site not have a seach option!!!!) . Maybe someone else knows where that little program is hidden and will provide a link for it.
