Trade Routes

On the trade route screen under domestic policy for "Established" I get "N/A" for everyone of my routes. Also "maintenance" and "tax" are also "N/A" but those I do not know what triggers them so I am not surprised. Though if you know what causes those to have values I would appreciate it. But the establish date should show up and I do not understand why it doesn't. I even just tried to establish a route just to make sure something like planets switching owners wouldn't effect it, but I did not get a date. Any ideas?

Hmmm, two bumps and no answer.

I can only remember seeing N/A when I lost the planet all my traders originated from, but that was back on 1.05. You also might get it if you take over the planet you are trading to, but I'm not sure.

Same here - I haven't seen Est value ever (or I don't remember if I had seen it in very beginning). At least in 1.13 I've never seen it.

I looked in the manual to, and there it doesn't mention anything about "turns" either. Does anyone know what these signify?

1.13 sounds a bit ordinary doesn't it, all the info you're asking about seems to be available in 1.12. I went back to 1.12 after I couldn't trade, attack or click on other planets several times in my only 1.13 attempt (very frustrating) . . . :notsure:

It's never been in the game- I wish it was so we had a bit more sense of the historical- as in when routes were established.

I think maintenance and tax are concepts that got yanked as they didn't really add any gameplay value only extra layers of numbers. Maybe at one time you could tax trade routes to suck out profit from foreign routes until teh alien's got pissed and decided to trade with someone else...?

HercMighty,

the "Turns" figure is expressed as X/Y, where Y is the length of the route in moves, and X is how far into the route the trade ship is. Each turn, the trade ship adds X to your treasury (and then moves, which increases X by 1). After X becomes = Y, X is reset to 1 to go through another cycle.
