help me....

i cant display gav civ right on my labtop. i gota ibm A22m with the display 800X600 maximum. i got directX9.0 installed already. At First the game would not start at all then i went ot the display properties on my labtop and changed the display driver to 1024X768 my screen is like 12 inches the latops screen so it displays it weird on it. so i click on gal civ this time it started but the screem would not scrool in the game so i can see all the text plus when i click on something with the mouse curser it would be off and have to to move around to select something it was really frustating after i bought this game and now i ant not even play it. can some please help me out on what i can do??? please any help is appreciated. thanks. :(

I believe your problem is the game is set to be played at a minimum resolution of 1024x768

if thats the minium...then this game is useless to me after u bought it...there has to be a way to display..anyone..please help???

The only way is to play it on a different computer that does support 1024x768.

Try going to motherboard manufacturers website to see if you can update your bios.Sometimes laptop video is done on motherboard and you are limited by refresh rates or screen resolution that the Lcd display can handle.Once in awhile you can upgrade the bios,but backup and rename original one before trying so you don't end up with useless laptop.

i finaly got it to work on windows 2000 after install all the updates from microsoft i can scroll now. so its ok.. thanks. anyways.
