Hiding windows taskbar in Objectdock vs Objectdock plus

I downloaded the public version of Objectdock and played around with it over the weekend. One thing I liked was the ability to hide the windows task bar and replace it with Objectdock. I sized Objectdock to the same height as the windows task bar and when I maximize windows, the bottom of the maximized window is just above the top of Objectdock. I like it so much I decided to buy the Objectdock plus version. I have installed it, but now when I dock it on the bottom and hide the windows task bar, maximized windows go to the bottom of the screen behind Objectdock plus. I cannot figure out how to make Objectdock Plus do the same thing as Objectdock - any clues on what to do?

Not really sure what your trying to do to but...If you use the "hide the windows taskbar" in dock property settings your windows "will" go to the bottom behind your dock. If you use the docklet that hides/shows windows taskbar it will leave a gap at the bottom. Try using the autohide feature for the dock then you won't see the dock until you mouse over it.

I'm not doing a good job of telling what I am trying to do. I want to use objectdock as a replacement for the windows taskbar. I don't want to use autohide on the dock and I don't want maximized windows to appear behind the dock at the bottom of the screen.

that's window ordering
I think you need to make OD equal to the desktop

After playing around some more, I think the problem has to do with Objectbar. When I don't have it loaded, things work as I expect them to with the dock. When I have it loaded is when things fall apart.

I'm don't have ObjectBar installed but I have the same problem as you. With OD all was cool but using OD+ is annoying. I want that little space at the bottom of my desktop.

I actually could do that once (add the space) but then I restarted and it didn't work again.

I think you are trying to do this, or this may be what you are looking for or wanting. Open up Objectdock Plus configuration window. Click on positioning in the left hand window. In the z-Ordering window select always on top from the drop down. This is for the plane docks, for the tabbed dock you need to make sure that the always on top box is checked. I think this is what you are trying to do. Good luck

Just downloaded this great piece of software today and experienced the same problem you mention. I solved it using a small app named DesktopCoral. Just dock it on the same side your ObjectDock is, resize and set Opacity to 0%.

Good luck, Syncops
