Democrats: "Nope."

Republicans: "Uh..."

If anyone has a good image to link to for the "Democrats" post away in the comments part!

Republicans don't favor torture.  Democrats, though, consider pretty much anything they don't like as torture.  Standing for 8 hours straight - torture.  Having to be in a cell that is only 55 degree - torture. Having to get a job - totrture.

silly draginol, the torture isn't standing, it's the laying down and being in a slightly warm room:

http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/200501/s1277216.htm
An August 2 email from another FBI agent who said he witnessed Guantanamo detainees under interrogation who were shackled hand and foot in a foetal position on the floor for 18 to 24 hours at a time, and most had "urinated or defacated (sic)" on themselves.

One detainee was held in a room at a temperature "probably well over 100 degrees (Fahrenheit)" (38 Celsius).

"The detainee was almost unconscious on the floor, with a pile of hair next to him. He had apparently been literally pulling his own hair out throughout the night," the agent wrote.

One FBI memo about Gitmo cited "strangulation, beatings, placement of lit cigarettes into the detainees' ear openings, and unauthorized interrogations."

you can read the strangulation/beating memo here:

Watching those who grandstand on pedal stools of self-righteousness in the face of the imminent threat of bloody thirsty killers is a torture that makes me want to poke my own eyes out.

In August, Cuba gets extremely hot. Before John Gotti died, he was incarcerated 23 hours a day. A terrorist pulling the hair out his head is the mark of madness: madness that likely pre-existed his incarceration. That is, surely most of the terrorist who have strapped explosives on to their bodies to kill as many as possible did not do so because they were incarcerated in Cuba.
